"Slut Vomit couldnt make it"

4/24/09 Plan B in Portland,OR had a real death metal show. No tour busses, no girl pants, no singing, no pizza. Gravehill came from southern California for their second performance in Portland to Brutalize with the Warwolves and Ritual Necromancy.

RITUAL NECROMANCY

This was Ritual Necromancy's 1st show but by the way they sounded you would have never guessed. Definitely my new favorite PDX band. With members of Superbad, Dagor Lad and Engorged.

Formerly "the Werewolf Korps", it was awesome seeing this guys play somewhere with decent sound this time. Another great local band.

Blood, Spikes, Metal. Not death metal, METAL OF DEATH. Brutal, groovy, and just plain fun to watch.

Deadeyedstare part 2- DisGoreGraphy

Deadeyedstare though short lived left some great releases in their time, most notably the full length " Deadeyedstare Wishes You Were Dead". The album was set up without spacing so it came off like a nonstop assault, still one of my favorite albums. Below is their entire discography from studio sessions to live tracks and other unreleased goodies. Feel free to download and share these. Most of these songs have some brutal titles, so for those of you who are easily offended, stop listening to metal.

total KUNTS

I'm not usually one for art shows, but when you get some of the greatest artists in the underground together showing off their great pieces, I can't miss out. Dennis Dread has just announced the lineup for his third annual salute to the underground entitled "Entartete Kunts". Check out THE BATTLE FOR ART for more info on the lineup.

still Brutal

I've been wanting to see Brutal Truth for quite some time and as luck would have it, they played Phoenix the weekend I was there.  After attending a wedding I was able to catch Brutal Truth, though I missed some of the openers (check out earlier posts for Sunyata). Brutal Truth played their entire new album before blasting out the classics. Definitely not my favorite way for any band to start off a set, but they still sounded great.
